Fault
1. Braking action in brake motor
defective
2. Saw blade works loose after the
motor switches off
3. Motor does not start
4. Motor runs forward or backwards
5. Motor without power, switches off
automatically
6. Burnt spots on cutting face,
longitudinal cut
cross cut
7. Wrong direction of rotation if three-
phase motor

Possible cause
a) Fine-wire fuse on printed circuit in
switch defective
b) Printed circuit in switch defective
a) Fastening nuts not tight enough
b) Braking action too heavy
a) Main fuse defective
b) Extension cable defective
c) Terminals on motor or switch
defective
d) Motor or switch defective
Capacitor defective
Overloaded through
a) blunt saw blade
b) 2-phase operation - motor overheats
a) Blunt saw blade
b) Wrong blade
c) Longitudinal feed stop not parallel
to saw blade
d) Slide not parallel to saw blade
Socket not correctly connected
Remedy
a) Open switch and replace fine-wire
fuse on wafer
b) Open switch, replace wafer. Adjust
brake current. See extra sheet
printed circuit. Electrical work
should only be carried out by an
electrician
a) Tighten nuts M 20 left-hand thread
b) Correct brake current adjustment
• Remove small stopper on switch
housing
• Correct brake current sensitively
at potentiometer with small
screw-screwdriver
• The saw blade must be stationary
8 - 10 sec. after switching off
motor
• Reinsert stopper in switch
housing
a) Check mains fuse
b) See operating instructions Electrical
connection
c) Have checked by electrician
d) See operating instructions Electrical
connection
Have replaced by electrician
a) Fit sharpened saw blade
b) Have extension cable and terminals
checked by electrician
a) Fit sharpened blade
b) Fit saw blade for longitudinal
cutting
c) Readjust motor to crossarm or
replace longitudinal feed stop
d) Align slide to saw blade
