8. Before Putting the Machine into
Operation
In keeping with current regulations
a pressure washer must never be
operated off the drinking water mains
supply without a controllable back-
flow preventer. A suitable backflow
preventer in conformity with EN
12729 type BA must be used.
Water that has passed through a backflow preventer
is classiied as undrinkable.
A backflow preventer is available from specialist
retailers.
A system separator (check valve) prevents the
backlow of water and detergent into the drinking
water pipeline.
• Employ an ordinary garden hose for the water
intake and ensure sufficient length.
Assembly
Risk of injury!
If the high-pressure cleaner is improperly assem-
bled, this can result in injury or damage
• Assemble the high-pressure cleaner properly and
completely before first use.
• Never plug the mains plug into the power outlet
before completing the assembly.
Fit transport handle, cable winding cleat and
lance holder (Fig. C).
• Slide the transport handle (1) into the guide on the
top of the high-pressure
place with the screws (8). Use a Phillips screwdri-
ver for this (not included in the delivery).
• Push the cable cleat (3) into the side recess on the
high-pressure cleaner.
• Push the lance holder (6) into the rear recess until
it latches into place.
Fit the adapter for the water supply (Fig. D)
• Remove the transport cap from the water supply
connection (7).
• Screw the adapter for the water supply (14) onto
the water supply connection (7).
Connect the high-pressure hose (Fig. E)
• Remove the transport cap from the connection for
the high-pressure hose (4).
• Screw the high-pressure hose (11) to the connec-
tion for the high-pressure hose (4).

Fitting/removing the accessories and the high-
pressure hose (Fig. F)
Use the appropriate accessory for the task in hand
(see Operation).
High-pressure hose (11) and spray gun (10):
• Push the high-pressure hose (11) into the connec-
tion of the spray gun (10) until it latches into place.
• To remove the high-pressure hose (11), press the
button (A) and pull the
high-pressure hose (11)
out of the spray gun (10).
Using the extension piece (9) and cleaning agent
container (13) with the spray gun (10):
• Using a little force, push the extension piece (9)
or the cleaning agent container (13) into the spray
gun (10) and turn it until it latches into place.
• To remove, press the components together again
with a little force and turn them until the componen-
ts can be detached from one another.
Using the patio cleaner (12) and variable nozzle
(16) with the extension piece (9):
• Push the patio cleaner (12) or variable nozzle (16)
into the extension piece (9) until it latches into
place.
• To remove, press the button (D) and remove the
component.
Connect the water supply (Fig. D)
The adapter for the water supply (14) can be con-
nected with a supply hose with a standard hose cou-
pling system (not included). Plug the hose coupling
onto the adapter for the water supply.
The diameter of the supply hose should be at least
12.7 mm (1/2").
9. Operation
Observe the regulations for the use of a system
separator.
• Open the water tap fully.
Do not operate the high-pressure cleaner with a
closed water tap. Running dry will damage the
device.
Switching on/off and handling the spray gun (Fig.
A / F)
Pay attention to the recoil force caused by the
emergent water jet. Make sure that you have secure
footing and hold the spray gun (10) firmly. Otherwise,
you could injure yourself or others.
• Switch on the high-pressure cleaner with the On/
Off switch (5). The high-pressure cleaner switches
on briefly in order to build up the pressure.
• Press the trigger (B) on the spray gun (10). The
