Electrical connection

 Work on electrical systems or equipment may only be carried out by a trained, qualified electrician or by instructed persons under the guidance and
supervision of a qualified electrician and in accordance with the electrical engineering rules.
 The electrical cables must be laid in accordance to the relevant national regulations (ex. in Germany VDE100).
 The measuring lines must be laid separately from signal and power lines.
 The connection between the protective conductor terminal and the protective conductor must be made.
 The electrical connection is made according to the connection diagrams of the device
 Check the type of current, main voltage, and frequency with the data given on the rating plate.
 The actuator is provided with 4 x M20 cable entries, these must be hand tightened. To maintain the protection class and avoid long-term corrosion
damage, the cable fittings must be screwed down correctly. To maintain IP66 / NEMA 4x protection, the cable diameters at the fittings must be 10-
14 mm.
 The connection cables must be approved for a continuous temperature of at least 90°C (194°F).
 The connection terminals are suitable for wires of AWG 20-12 and must be tightened with a max. Torque of 0.56 Nm.
Connecting the ground terminal
The cross-section of the PE cable must correspond to the cross-section of the line/neutral cable connection at the very least. The connection of the
protective conductor must be carried out in such a way that in the event of a failure it is the last to be disconnected. The PE cable must be connected to
the terminal provided for this purpose.
Electrical Protection of the device
The device must be protected with a fuse of min. 6A and max. 20A.
The fuse must be easily accessible and clearly labeled.

Manual hand wheel

A manual hand wheel is provided to operate the actuator in case of power failure or for manual adjustment.
The hand wheel is disengaged during normal operation, so that it does not move when the motor is running.
For manual operation the start handle must be pulled down. By turning the hand wheel in the clockwise direction, the spindle
is extended, in the counter-clockwise direction the spindle is retracted.
Attention!
The manual override must only be used when the motor is not running.
In manual operation, the valve stroke (see scale on pillars) must not be over or under exceeded
Do not operated the hand wheel by force!
In case of non-observance: Damage to the actuator is possible!

Initial Start-up

Testing the Spindle Movement
If the actuator does not run in the intended direction, the connections of the control signal at terminals A2 and A3 must be exchanged.
Testing the Limit Switches
The cut-off of the end positions is set at the factory when before the actuator is delivered with the valve. Use the control signals to drive the actuator to the end
position and check it, if necessary readjust the end position switch.

Default Settings

8.1

Setting the Force Shut-off

The force shut-off is already set at the factory during initial actuator assembly.
(Control force/closing force: see Technical Data). Adjustment of the force shut-
off is therefore not necessary.
8.2

Setting the Stroke

The maximum stroke of the REact 150/220/300 is 100mm (see Technical Data).
The maximum stroke is set by means of the Limit Switches.
