► Remove the battery.
► Wind up the connecting cable and attach it to the charger.
► Transporting the charger in a vehicle: Secure the charger
with lashing straps, belts or a net to prevent it turning over
and moving.

Storing the Charger
► Unplug the mains plug from the socket.
► Remove the battery.

► Roll up the connecting cord and attach it to the charger.
► The charger should be stored in such a way that the
following conditions are met:
– The charger is out of the reach of children.
– The charger is clean and dry.
– The charger is in an enclosed room.
– The charger is separate from the battery.
– The charger is not hung up by the connecting cord.
– The charger is stored at temperatures between + 5 °C
and + 40 °C.

Cleaning the Charger
► Disconnect the plug from the wall outlet.
► Clean the charger with a damp cloth.
► Clean the charger's electrical contacts with a soft brush.
10 Maintenance and Repairs
10.1 Servicing and Repairing the Charger
The charger requires no servicing and cannot be repaired.
► If the charger has a malfunction or is
damaged: Replace the charger.
► If the connecting cable has a malfunction or
is damaged: Do not use the charger and
have connecting cable replaced by a STIHL
servicing dealer.
11 Troubleshooting
11.1 Troubleshooting Charger
If the battery is not being charged and the LED on the
charger flashes red: There is no contact between the
charger and battery.
► Remove the battery.
► Clean contacts on charger.
► Fit the battery.
► If the battery is still not being charged and the LED on the
charger flashes red: Do not use the charger and contact
your STIHL servicing dealer.
