signs of wear, which do not affect
its features and do not constitute
a reason for rejection.

USING THE APPLIANCE

1. Place the batter – best with a
scoop – in the middle of the lower
baking plates. When the appli-
ance is closed, the batter spreads
out uniformly. If you fill with too
little batter, the upper part of the
appliance does not lie properly;
the upper side of the waffle will
then not become as brown as
the lower side. If you fill with too
much batter, the batter runs out
and soils the appliance.
2. Close the appliance immediately
after filling with batter, so that the
waffles will become equally brown
above and below.
3. A few seconds after the batter has
been filled, the control lamp turns
on; the baking process begins.
4. The desired degree of browning
can be achieved with the con-
tinuously adjustable temperature
regulator. With a low setting, you
obtain lighter and with higher set-

example, using a pastry brush (as
the waffle plates are non-stick
coated, greasing is only necessary
before the very first use).
5. The appliance may generate a
slight smell when first using it,
which is absolutely normal.
6. The first waffle should not be used
and should be thrown away.

appliance can immediately be
filled again with batter. The con-
trol lamp turns on again. Continue
until all of the batter has been
used.
7. After baking, unplug the appli-
ance. It is not switched off until
disconnected from the mains.
Attention: After disconnecting,
the appliance is still very hot
for some time!
