result in unpredictable use hazards or loss of
functionality.
Integra LifeSciences will not be responsible
for product that is resterilized, nor accept for
credit or exchange product that has been
opened but not used.
As long as the inner unit is not opened
or damaged, the product is sterile and
nonpyrogenic.
Instructions for Use
CAUTION: Handle the working end of the
tips with care; they can be sharp and can
cause injury.
CAUTION: Make sure the generator is
turned off (or is in standby mode) before
connecting the forceps handle or changing
the tips. User injury can result if power is
applied to the forceps during assembly.
1.
Remove the tips from the sterile package.
Leave the protective tubes in place on the
tips to protect hands and gloves.
2.
Hold one tip so the flat surface faces the
midline of the handle (Figure 1). This will
align the bend in the tip to the bend in the
handle.
3.
While depressing the tip release button on
the handle blade, insert the shaft of the tip
into the receptacle of the handle (Figure 2).
4.
Push the tip completely into the handle
(Figure 3). Release the tip release button.
5.
Check the security of the tip by attempting
to pull it out of the handle without
depressing the tip release button.
6.
Check to ensure that the distal seal
is covering the junction of the tip and
the handle. If it is folded back on itself,
depress the tip release button, pull the tip
out and reassemble.
7.
Follow Steps 2 through 6 with the other
tip.
8. Remove the protective tubes from the
tips.
9.
Close the forceps and check the tip
alignment. To adjust the tip alignment,
