Troubleshooting

If the device is not working properly, please check whether you are able to rectify the problem
yourself fi rst. Otherwise contact the customer service department.
Do not attempt to repair a defective device yourself!
Problem

Possible cause / solution
• Is the mains plug properly connected with the socket?
• Is the socket defective?
• Check the fuse for your mains connection.
• Is the fi lter insert properly in place?
• Has the permanent fi lter been correctly inserted?
• Is there suffi cient water in the water tank?
• Is the coffee pot correctly situated under the coffee spout?
If the coffee pot is not correctly situated under the coffee spout, the drip
guard valve is closed preventing the fl ow of coffee through the spout.
• Is the device activated?
Set the On / Off switch to the I position.
• Is the coffee pot correctly situated under the coffee spout?
If the coffee pot is not correctly situated under the coffee spout, the drip
guard valve is closed and the coffee water accumulates in the fi lter until it
fl ows over.
• The fi lter insert or permanent fi lter have not been correctly inserted in
the device.
• There is too much coffee powder in the fi lter!
• There is no water in the water tank.
• There is no coffee powder in the fi lter.
• The fi lter insert and / or the permanent fi lter have not been correctly
inserted in the device.
• The coffee has been ground too fi ne and is plugging the fi lter.
• The device must be decalcifi ed.
