Proper use

❐ This device is intended for brewing and serving coffee.
❐ The device is not intended to be operated with an external timer or a separate telecontrol
system.
❐ This device is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with impaired sen-
sory or mental abilities or those lacking experience and / or knowledge unless they are su-
pervised by a person responsible for their safety or have been instructed by such persons
on how to use the device. Children must be under supervision to ensure that they do not
play with the device.
❐ The device is intended for domestic, not commercial, use.
❐ Only use the device as described in these instructions. Any other use is deemed improper.

Risks of injury

❐ ATTENTION Risk of suffocation! Keep the packaging material away from children and
animals.
❐ ATTENTION Scalding hazard! Hot steam is produced when in use. For this reason, do not
open the water tank / fi lter compartment cover during use.
❐ ATTENTION Scalding hazard! When in use, keep your face, head and hands away from
the water tank / fi lter compartment cover. Hot steam is emitted from the cover vents. You
could scald yourself on the hot steam.
❐ ATTENTION Burn hazard! Parts of the device (e. g. heating plate) and the coffee pot
become hot during use. Avoid contact with the hot parts of the device and only hold the
coffee pot by the handle.
❐ Do not use the device if it is damaged.

For your health

❐ ATTENTION Health hazard due to contamination! The device and accessories may con-
tain production residue. For this reason, clean the device and accessories thoroughly after
fi rst use (see chapter "Before fi rst use", section "Cleaning the device"). Also be absolutely
