Removing the cable

Exchanging the cable inside the housing

1. Take off lid Maintenance of PPU-E 15
2. Undo cable clips from the grounding cable (2) and the
measuring system cable (1).
3. Remove the cover (3).
4. Undo the measuring system plug (1) and undo the sub-D plug (1).
5. Take out the measuring system cable (1).
6. Undo the contact points from the grounding cable (2).
7. Take out the grounding cable (2).
1. Fasten the ends of the grounding cable (2) with contact plates.
2. Contact the cable measuring system (1) in the measuring head
and screw tight the sub-D plug (1).
3. Lay the cable measuring system (1) in the same way as the old
cable and screw tight.
4. Assemble the cover (3).
5. Lay both cables without twisting them in a large loop on the
cover and fasten.
6. IMPORTANT! Cables must lie freely and must not touch
anywhere when the Z-axis moves up and down!
