TILT FUNCTION

Powering on the laser the TILT function will be activated automatically. „ TILT" is flashing during the
activation procedure. When the activation is completed (after 90 sec approx.) „ TILT" is indicated perma-
nently.
Press button
to switch this function on/off.
If the TILT function is not active:
If the laser is disturbed due to a positional change of the tripod it will automatically self-level itself
(within the self-levelling range of 5°), a height offset can occur. This will be avoided by using the TILT
function. The use of this function ensures that the laser is shut off even within the self-levelling range if
the laser is disturbed. Switch the unit on and wait until the self-levelling procedure is completed.
If the TILT function is active:
If the laser is disturbed, the rotation stopps and the laser beam and „ TILT" will flash. The laser will not
re-level automatically.
If required the self-levelling procedure can be re-activated with button
This instrument has three TILT status:
= „TILT" flashes slowly during the activation, the instrument in not yet ready for use
Activation
Function active = „TILT" is indicated permanently
TILT alarm
= „ TILT" is flashing quickly and the rotation stopps
VIBRATION-WIND-SECURITY (VWS-FUNCTION)
Press this button to activate the VWS mode. The VWS function automatically activates the TILT function.
This function allows continuous operation during periods of vibration and wind. If a significant move-
ment occurs the laser stops rotating and the TILT LED starts flashing. Press the VWS button to cancel.
Press the VWS button again to re-activate.
SELF LEVELLING PROCEDURE / DISPLAY ILLUMINATION
If the TILT function is activated and the level is disturbed (rotation stopps) the self-levelling procedure
can be started from this position if required.
Press the button short.
Please check if the instrument has been disturbed.
Press the button long (2 sec.) to switch on/off the display illumination.
