3. Bi-Wiring
(bridged mono mode)
In this version of Bi-Wiring two separate
power amplifiers are used, each of them
operated in bridged mono mode.
This method of operation in-creases the
system's power reserves, and has a
positive effect on the system's dynamic
response.
For a given volume each amplifier supplies
a lower output voltage, thus reducing inter-
modulation effects and distortion.
The overall result is improved sy-stem
resolution and better spatial imaging.
Caution:
It is essential to remove the link pieces at
the Bi-Wiring terminals if you want to use
this system of wiring.
4. Bi-Amping
In a Bi-Amping system the signals for the
bass range and the mid- / high-frequency
range are separated before they reach the
output stage.
A further variant of bi-Amping, in which the
channels are kept separate, involves the
use of four separate amplifiers.
Each amplifier is used in bridged mode as
a separate double-mono output stage for
the bass or mid- / high-frequency range.
Caution:
It is essential to remove the link pieces at
the Bi-Wiring terminals if you want to use
this system of wiring.
