Our solution is the 'absorbing line', which
absorbs some of the upper bass range
sound, but still works like the traditional
transmission line in the low bass range.

The TCI series incorporates a further
development of the TAL principle. The line
continues to be damped to a significant
extent, but the duct is now longer, and its
cross-section now tapers towards the
outlet, improving the coupling of the line to
the pressure chamber. A diagonal sound
guide reduces reflections and potential
standing waves in the duct. The cabinet is
made from elegantly sculpted multi-layer
laminate materials, guaranteeing tremen-
dous strength and low resonance. The
mechanical rigidity of the cabinet is further
increased by additional internal bracing.
There are no parallel walls inside the
cabinet, and this reduces standing waves
significantly.
The treble unit is recessed by several
centimetres in order to provide constant
group delay characteristics, with the result
that the tweeter coupling with the mid-
range is almost perfect. The treble unit's
baffle is narrower than that of the other
drive units in order to achieve exceptional
radiation characteristics.
