Select the file to be loaded with the
SCANNER buttons 1-12. The display
indicates e.g. "FILE:2" and a progress bar.

After successful completion of the data
import, the display shortly inserts "READ
FILE OK".

Firmware Update

The internal software (firmware) of the controller
can be updated. New versions of the firmware will
include new features, bug fixes and the
optimization of current processes. We suggest to
always operating the device with the latest
firmware to ensure the highest level of
functionality. Check
www.eurolite.de
time for further information. The installation
procedures may vary slightly from those described
in this user manual; please note the instructions
that will be included in the download package.
Follow the steps below to update the firmware:

Download the firmware from the internet
www.eurolite.de
product.

Create a folder "DMX Operator 240"on the
root directory of a USB memory device

Copy and extract the firmware to the folder
on the USB memory device.

Connect the USB memory device with the
new firmware to the controller's USB port.

Keep the three buttons SCANNER 1,
SCANNER 2 and SCENE 3 pressed
simultaneously and switch on the controller.

The display indicates "ANY KEY UPDATE".
Press any button to start the update
procedure.

As soon as the new firmware has been
programmed, the display shortly inserts
"UPDATE OK". Turn the controller off and on
again. The update procedure is complete
and the USB memory device can be
removed.

Fog Machine Control

When the LED READY lights, the fog
machine is ready for operation. Press the
button FOG MACHINE, to emit fog.

If the LED HEATING lights, the fog machine
heats up. After the LED extinguishes, the
machine is ready to emit fog.

External MIDI Control

It is possible to control the unit via MIDI e.g. with a
MIDI keyboard or a sequencer software. The unit
receives Note On signals which enable to run 15
memory banks (1-15) and 6 chases. In addition,
the blackout function can be activated.
For MIDI control, set the unit to the MIDI channel
used for controlling it:

Keep the button MIDI/REC pressed until the
display indicates "MIDI" in the upper line of
the display.

Select the MIDI channel with the buttons
BANK UP and BANK DOWN.

Shortly press the button MIDI/REC to
memorize your setting and exit the setting
mode.
