6.4. Sealing cords and tapes
A special glass-ceramic sealing cord (tape), which is able to withstand high temperatures, is used to seal the con-
tact surfaces of the door and glass (or other parts of the heater). It is recommended to check the condition of the
seal continuously and replace it with a new one if it loses its functionality.
The new seal will settle after a certain period of use, and it is therefore recommended to check the tight fit of the
glass against the door structure after approximately three months of use, and to remove any loosenes by sensiti-
vely tightening the bars keeping the glass in place.
6.5. Spare parts
If necessary, use only original spare parts recommended by the manufacturer, see Section 9.2. – Recommended
spare parts.
6.6. Storage and handling
The insert must be stored in a dry, properly ventilated area to prevent the formation of surface rust. The insert can
only be handled in a vertical position.
7. MOST COMMON DEFECTS
7.1. Cracked (missing) vermiculite block in the combustion chamber
First of all, it should be emphasized that cracked vermiculite blocks do not lose their functionality unless they
fall out completely, so they do not need to be replaced immediately! In case of replacement, these parts can be
ordered directly from your dealer or at the manufacturer's address by stating the type and serial number of the
product; the specific number (or dimension) of a vermiculite block that needs to be replaced can be found in the
drawing of vermiculite blocks, see the attachment.
Replacement procedure: The side blocks must be replaced by first removing the barrier in order to remove the
bottom blocks and vents; after removing these, the access to replace the side and rear blocks is easier.
Caution: Do not use the insert if even a part of the combustion chamber lining falls out. There is a risk of a hole
being burnt in the insert chamber structure.
7.2. Broken glass – replacement
The door glass is made of a special glass-ceramic material with high heat resistance. Ordinary sheet glass cannot
be used!
Replacement procedure: It is not necessary to remove the entire door when replacing the glass, only the handle
must be removed (2 screws on the side); unscrew the side and top bars holding the glass and remove (slide
out) the glass. When reassembling, the glass must fit evenly over the entire perimeter of the door surface. The
contact surface between the glass and the door must be fitted with a sealing cord. The sealing cord can be used
repeatedly if it is not damaged. When reassembling, tighten the bars evenly and with care. (See Attachment P7)
8. WARRANTY AND SERVICE
8.1. In General
When oberving all rules of installation, operation and maintenance specified in this Operation Manual, the ma-
nufacturer (vendor) HS Flamingo s.r.o. guarantees 60-month warranty, beginning with the time of receipt by the
user, ensuring the product will have the properties specified by technical standards, this Manual and the data on
the nameplate throughout this warranty.
According to Section 2167 (b) of the Civil Code No. 89/2012 Coll., rights from defects that occur on the product
within twenty-four months from receipt cannot be asserted for defects caused by wear and tear due to its normal
use. Such wear occurs in particular, for example, on fireclay, vermiculite blocks, deflectors, seals, grates, paint, and
glass, depending on the frequency and intensity of heating.
8.2. Warranty terms
The warranty covers free repair of the product, or replacement of the parts or components that are subject of
the complaint, where the defects were caused by defective material or defect in manufacturing. In the event of
an unjustified requests for warranty repair, the costs incurred in this way shall be borne by the owner (customer).
