The supply of secondary air, which is also adjustable (variant with automatic regulation), improves both the com-

bustion quality and helps to automatically clean the door glass. With the right amount and ratio of air supplied
to the combustion chamber, the combustion efficiency increases and thus the emission of harmful gases into the
air is reduced. The current air supply setting (manual variant) is determined by the position of the regulator under
the door, where the position on the left means closed and the position on the right means open to the maximum.
The achieved thermal output of the heater depends on the amount of fuel burned over a period of time, its qua-
lity, and the efficiency of the combustion process. According to Table 1, the calorific value of fuels, it is possible
to get an idea of the achievable power when burning 1 kg of wood per hour at 20% of its moisture. Furthermore,
the higher the fuel moisture, the significantly lower its calorific value.
In practice, inserts are regulated by air vent regulators, followed especially by the secondary air supply after
proper ignition. The exact setting of the combustion process using the regulators cannot be clearly defined. It is
influenced by a number of factors, such as fuel moisture, type of fuel, chimney draught, external pressure condi-
tions, etc. Therefore, the combustion process (intensity and quality of the flame) must be adjusted according to
current conditions.
Caution: It is desirable to install a draught regulator for the heater to function properly. Due to the ambient con-
ditions (weather, etc.), there are fluctuations in the draught, which is prevented by the installation of this regulator.
Note: During the certification and verification of the rated output, the opening of the regulators was set at a ratio
of 20%/80% (primary/secondary), and at a ratio of 15%/60% at a reduced output.
• The ability to effectively adjust the combustion process will increase with your experience in long-term use
of the product. After every kindling, leave the primary air vent regulator open for a longer time to achieve
better fuel ignition.
• It is advisable to close the primary air vent regulator fully before stoking.
• When burning wood, make sure that the wood is dry with a maximum moisture of 20%.
2.2. Fuel
Only chopped wood can be burned in the fireplace inserts. The moisture of the burned wood should be less than
20%, optimally 10%. Usually, the lower the water content in the fuel, the higher its calorific value. The recommen-
ded wood moisture is achieved by storage in a ventilated shelter for at least two years.
The recommended size of firewood for storage and combustion should be 3–8 cm in diameter and the length
corresponding to the size of the selected insert output as well as the dimensions of the chamber.
Coal and coke may not be burned in fireplace inserts. Never use flammable liquids or waste such as wallpaper,
chipboard, plastics, impregnated wood or separate shavings and sawdust as fuel. Burning of such materials not
only harms the environment, but also shortens the life of the product, and can
even damage the heater and the chimney.
Note: The bark on wooden logs can of course also be burned.

3. SAFETY OPERATION

3.1. General provisions

For the operation and installation of fireplace inserts, it is necessary to observe the principles of fire protection
contained in ČSN 06 1008. The appliance may be used in a normal environment according to ČSN 33 2000-3. If
this environment changes and there may be a temporary risk of fire or explosion (e.g. when gluing linoleum, PVC,
when working with paints, etc.), the fire stove or insert must be put out of operation in time before the danger
arises. Furthermore, the product can be used only after thorough ventilation of the space, preferably by making
draught.
