To prepare coffee

Fill the water tank with fresh tap water every day.
Your favourite coffee drink is very easy to make using standard coffee pads. For instructions on how to
insert your coffee pads into the pad cartridge, refer to section 3.2.1 on page 13 and following.
Caution!
Malfunction caused by a blockage to the pad cartridge!
Damaged pads, loose coffee powder or instant coffee block the pad cartridge. The adjusting knob is
blocked and the pad cartridge can no longer be removed.
> Only place suitable coffee softpads into the pad cartridge.
> Never insert damaged pads, loose coffee powder or instant coffee into the pad cartridge.
> Before each brew, check that:
- the opening in the centre of the pad cartridge is free,
- the pads are undamaged
- the pad cartridge is free of residual coffee grounds.
3.2.1 Inserting coffee pads (see Fig. 3)
Only use standard, commercially available coffee pads with an external diameter of 7 cm (coffee quantity
approx. 7 g). Coffee pads with a smaller diameter do not produce the best tasting coffee. Hard pads which
are offered for espresso machines and pads with additives for cappuccino, or similar, must not be used.
