1 Safety information
At WMF, making your appliance as safe as possible is a feature of our products we pay close attention to.
The safety devices on the WMF 5 can only be effective, however, if you heed the following safety advice.
1.1

Intended use

The WMF5 is solely intended for making coffee and for dispensing hot water. Only coffee soft pads with
an external diameter of 7cm can be used.
The WMF 5 is designed for quantities arising in personal use. It is not suitable for commercial use. The
WMF5 is not intended for use in the following places: staff kitchens, shops, offices and other commercial
spaces, agricultural estates, hotel guests, motels, bed and breakfasts or other residential facilities.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) who are physically or mentally
handicapped or have sensory disabilities, nor is it to be used by persons without sufficient experience
and/or knowledge, unless these persons are supervised by persons responsible for their safety or unless
they have been instructed how to use the appliance.
Do not allow the appliance to run unsupervised. Do not operate the appliance at altitudes higher
than 1500m above sea level. No liability is assumed if the appliance is not used in accordance with its
intended use, if it was connected incorrectly, repaired improperly, or if the above instructions were not
followed. No liability is assumed for damage caused by failing to clean or descale the appliance or after
using different cleaning or descaling agents than those produced by WMF. All warranty claims will lapse.
