Continuous Mode of Temperature Measurement

1. Follow steps 1 - 4 as above but select continuous oral

5. Separate the buttocks and gently insert the rectal temperature probe a
maximum of 1.5 cm, (less than 1.5cm for children) , inside the rectal
sphincter. Tilt the temperature probe until the tip is touching tissue.

7. The probe will warm up to body temperature in approximately 3 to 4 minutes.

ease insertion if necessary.
