8. Setting up the joystick

a) Inserting the batteries
This product has 3 possible power sources.
Battery type 1

The first type requires 4 AA batteries (not included) to power the remote control.
For safety reasons and to ensure a longer battery life, do not use rechargeable AA batteries to power the
remote control.
To insert the batteries, slide the battery compartment cover off the base of the remote control.
Insert the batteries into the battery compartment (16). Pay attention to the polarity markings to ensure that the batter-
ies are inserted in the correct polarity.
Replace the battery compartment cover.
Battery type 2

The second type uses a rechargeable 2S lithium battery (not included).
Slide the battery compartment cover off.
Insert the battery plug into the socket.
Slot the battery into the battery compartment and replace the battery com-
partment cover.
To charge the 2S lithium battery, plug a micro USB charger (not included)
into the joystick jack (18). Insert the USB connector into the plug, and then
connect the plug to the mains. Once the battery is fully charged, unplug it
from the mains.
Battery type 3
3
The third type is a 5 V USB power pack (not included). Do not
use a higher voltage, as this may damage the remote control.
Plug the USB power pack into the jack on the remote control
(18).
Insert the USB end into the power pack.
