16 Before Initial Start-up

16.1 Starting up the Mobile Terminal

Before starting up the mobile terminal for the first time, please make sure that the rechargeable battery
installed in the mobile terminal at the factory is fully charged. Connect the docking station (if included in
scope of delivery) to the mains supply with the included power supply and place the mobile terminal in the
docking station.
The rechargeable battery is fully charged when the charge LED lights up green.
Now you can start up the mobile terminal.
For further information about the mobile terminal and the docking station, see the following chapters.

16.2 Starting up the Docking Station

Place the docking station in a level, stable, clean place that is not in the sun. Plug the power cable into the
external power supply. Plug the DC plug of the power supply into the DC outlet on the back of the docking
station (marked with the DC symbol
The docking station is disconnected from the power supply by pulling

the power plug.
The associated outlet must be near the docking station and easily
