Assembly and setting up

WARNING! RISK OF FIRE!
► Never place the appliance beneath wall
cabinets or adjacent to curtains, wall units or
other flammable objects.
► Set up the appliance at least 70 cm from any
flammable materials (e.g. curtains).
► Always place the appliance on a heat-resis-
tant surface.
1) Remove all of the parts from the box and
remove the packaging material and any
protective film.
2) Clean all components as described in the
section "Cleaning and Care". Ensure that all
parts are completely dry.
3) Place the wood frame

Before first use
1) Insert the plug into a mains power socket and
set the temperature control
The appliance will heat up.
2) Wait for 10 minutes.
3) Then pull out the plug and allow the appliance
to cool down.
NOTE
► The first time the appliance heats up, a small
amount of smoke and odour may be gener-
ated due to production-related residue. This
is normal and is completely harmless. Ensure
sufficient ventilation; for example, by opening
a window.
4) Wipe the griddle
