Configuring and Teaming the Private Network

Before you deploy the cluster, assign a private IP address and host name to
each cluster node. This procedure ensures that the nodes can communicate
with each other through the private interface.
Table 6-2 provides an example of a network configuration for a two-node
cluster.
NOTE:
This example assumes all the IP addresses are registered in the hosts file
of all cluster nodes.
NOTE:
The two bonded NIC ports for a private network should be on separate
PCI buses. For example, a bonded pair can consist of one on-board NIC and one
add-on NIC card.
