Check operation after loading.

After sealing the Case, perform the following checks to see if the camera can be controlled
properly.
• Turn the power switch dial on the Case and confirm that the camera power switches ON/OFF.
• Turn the mode dial on the Case and confirm that the camera mode changes.
• Press the shutter lever on the Case and confirm that the camera shutter releases.
• Turn the zoom dial on the Case and confirm that the lens zooms in/out.
• Press the other control buttons on the Case and confirm that the corresponding operations are
activated on the camera.
CAUTION
: • If the camera does not function properly, restart the digital camera
installation procedure from "Check the digital camera." on page E-19 of this
manual.
• Make sure that the mode dial can be moved after the camera has been
loaded in the Case. If the mode dial does not move, there may be oil or
grease on it; wipe it clean.

Perform the final checks.

Visual Inspection

After closing the case tightly, check the seal between the front and rear lids and the
connection between the port and case to make sure the O-rings are not twisted, that they
sit properly in the grooves, and that no foreign matter has been caught between the two
parts.
CAUTION
: • Hairs, fibers, and other narrow items are not very apparent, but they may
cause entry of water, so that special attention is required.
