5.2 Malfunctions of the pulse
generator system (Figure XII)
Malfunction of this kind are signalled by
rhythmic deflection of the vehicle speed
pointer (2) and stylus in the lower measu-
ring range (3). Pointer deflection occurs
every 8 seconds.
This indication may appear
– when the vehicle is stationary,
although while driving speed indica-
tion and recording has been
operating normally.
Or
– while driving in case of complete
break-down of the pulse generator
system.
In both cases, such malfunction is recor-
ded on the tachograph chart (6).
If malfunctions of this kind should occur,
please contact your service partner.
