Switching ON/OFF (fig. 1)
To switch on:
Press the locking button (2) and the ON/OFF switch
(1) at the same time.
• Allow the saw blade to accelerate until it reaches
full speed. Then slowly move the saw blade along
the cutting line. Only exert gentle pressure on the
saw blade as you do so.
To switch off :
Release the locking button and ON/OFF switch
• If you release the handle the equipment will shut
down automatically which means that it cannot op-
erate accidentally.
• Ensure that you do not cover or block the ventila-
tion openings whilst working with the tool.
• Do not slow down the saw blade after you switch it
off by pressing it sideways.
• Important! Do not put down the machine until the
saw blade has reached a complete standstill.
m Important. Carry out a trial cut in a piece of
waste wood.
Changing the saw blade (fig. 1-3)
m Important. Always pull out the power plug be-
fore doing any work on the circular saw!
Use only saw blades which comply with standard EN
847-1 and are of the same type as the saw blade sup-
plied with this circular saw. Ask your dealer for advice.
• Engage the saw shaft locking device (9). If it does
not engage, turn the saw blade (13) until the saw
shaft lock engages.
• Loosen the saw blade locking screw (16) and pull
the washer (15) and flange (14) off the saw shaft.
• Pull back the lever for the pendulum protective
hood (12) so that the saw blade (13) is free.
• Pull the saw blade (13) off the saw shaft.
• Mount the new saw blade (13) in reverse order.
• Make sure that the screwdriver for the saw blade
lock (16) is always firmly tightened.

10. Electrical connection

The electrical motor installed is connected and
ready for operation. The connection complies
with the applicable VDE and DIN provisions.
The customer's mains connection as well as
the extension cable used must also comply with
these regulations.
Important information
In the event of an overloading the motor will switch
itself off. After a cool-down period (time varies) the
motor can be switched back on again.
Damaged electrical connection cable
The insulation on electrical connection cables is of-
ten damaged.

This may have the following causes:
• Passage points, where connection cables are
passed through windows or doors.
• Kinks where the connection cable has been im-
properly fastened or routed.
• Places where the connection cables have been cut
due to being driven over.
• Insulation damage due to being ripped out of the
wall outlet.
• Cracks due to the insulation ageing.
Such damaged electrical connection cables must not
be used and are life-threatening due to the insulation
damage.
Check the electrical connection cables for damage
regularly. Make sure that the connection cable does
not hang on the power network during the inspection.
Electrical connection cables must comply with the
applicable VDE and DIN provisions. Only use con-
nection cables with the marking „H05VV-F".
The printing of the type designation on the connec-
tion cable is mandatory.
AC motor
• The mains voltage must be 230 V~
• Extension cables up to 25 m long must have a
cross-section of 1.5 mm
.

Connections and repairs of electrical equipment may
only be carried out by an electrician.
Please provide the following information in the event
of any enquiries:
• Type of current for the motor
• Machine data - type plate
• Machine data - type plate

11. Cleaning and Servicing

Pull the mains plug before any adjustments,
maintenance or repair.
m Have any work on the device that is not de-
scribed in this instruction guide performed by
a professional. Only use original parts. Allow
the device to cool off before any maintenance or
cleaning is undertaken. There is a risk of burning!
Always check the device before using it for obvi-
ous defects such as loose, worn or damaged parts,
correct the positioning of screws or other parts. Ex-
change the damaged parts.
