Recharging batteries
Turn off the headset. Insert a blunt tool under the edge of the
clamp and pull outwards/upwards. Remove the battery and
charge it separately, or leave the battery in place and charge it
in the hearing protector.
1:2 Operation time
Approximate operation time with a fully charged ACK081
battery (1800 mAh):
18 hours.
NOTE:
Depending on the environment, temperature, and battery, the
operation time may vary.
1:3 Switching the headset on and off (fig.2)
Press and hold the on/off/mode button (F:10) for 2 seconds
to switch the headset on or off. A voice message will confirm
that the unit has been switched on or off with the voice
message "power on" or "power off".
NOTE: The headset is automatically powered off after four hours
of inactivity. This is indicated by the voice message "automatic
power off".
NOTE: The last setting is always saved when the headset is
switched off.
1:4 Adjusting the volume level (fig.3)
Use the [+] and [–] buttons to adjust the volume. By default, the
[+] and [–] buttons will control the volume of the active sound
source, which could be any one of the following: two-way radio,
Bluetooth communication, or ambient listening. When receiving

or transmitting with the two way radio, the [+] and [–] buttons will
control the two-way radio volume. If a Bluetooth

1:5 Radio transmission
VOX (Voice Operated Transmission)

1:6 PTT (PUSH-TO-TALK transmission) (fig.5)
Press and hold the PTT button (F:16) to transmit manually
using the radio. When the radio is transmitting or receiving,
the button (F:10) will flash rapidly. PTT transmission works at
all times, regardless of the BCLO and settings.
NOTE: In order to receive transmission, the channel must not be
blocked by transmission via PTT or VOX.
NOTE: To turn VOX on or off, short press ~0.5 seconds the PTT
button (F:16) (fig. 5) two times. A voice message confirms, "VOX
on" or "VOX off".
1:7 Communication face to face, PTL (PUSH-TO-LISTEN)

The Push-To-Listen feature enables you to instantly listen to
your environment by muting the Bluetooth
activating the level-dependent microphones. Short press (~0.5
seconds) the power button (F:10) two times to activate Push-To-
Listen. Short press any button to deactivate Push-To-Listen.
