Auto Iris function
The Auto Iris function is available when using an SCL-Z18X140 or
a PL mount lens that is compatible with Auto iris, or when
attaching B4 mount lens that is compatible with Auto Iris by
using a LA-FZB1, LA-FZB2 mount adapter.
100%Marker
The PMW-F5/F55 is compatible with 100% Marker that indicates
the effective picture frame.
Marker ON/OFF function for each output
You can turn the marker on/off for outputs such as Viewfinder
and SDI/HDMI, independently.
High Key/Low Key function
The PMW-F5/F55 is compatible with the High Key/Low Key
function that allows you to check high key blown-out highlights
or low key clipped blacks.
Black Gamma function
The PMW-F5/F55 is compatible with the Black Gamma function
that allows you to compensate gamma character of low-
luminance.
2K/HD 59.94/50.0P RGB 3G-Dual output
When the system frequency is 59.94 or 50.0, an RGB 3G-Dual
signal that conforms to SMPTE ST424/425 Level-B can be output.

Compatible with CA4000
The PMW-F5/F55 can be operated as the system camera by using
with the optional CA4000 and peripheral equipment (BPU4000,
etc.).

Viewfinder double speed drive function
The PMW-F5/F55 doubles the frame rate for the viewfinder
display when the system frequency is 23.98, 24, 25, or 29.97, to
decrease image blur while panning the camcorder to the right
and the left.
Operation of setup menu from the Wi-Fi Remote
Most of the setup menu items can be set by using the Wi-Fi
Remote display.
Wind Filter function
The PMW-F5/F55 is compatible with the wind filter function for
MIC input. This function is not effective for LINE input.
Changing the picture angle for HD SDI output while RAW
recording
The picture angle for HD SDI output (Letter Box/Edge Crop) can
be set when Main Operation is set to RAW.

"S-Log2" is added for the selectable items of MLUT
"S-Log2" is added as "P4" for the selectable items of "MLUT Select"
in "Monitor LUT" of the Video menu.
The Slow & Quick motion function is expanded
The frame rate for XAVC 1920 × 1080P of the recording format is
compatible with High Frame Rate Mode of 120P in addition 1 to
60P.
The frame rate for XAVC 2048 × 1080P of the recording format is
compatible with 1 to 60P, and the 2K RAW High Frame Rate mode
when "Main Operation" is set to "RAW" (frame rate is 120P/180P/
240P).
Recording format is added
The PMW-F5/F55 is compatible with XAVC 2048 × 1080P. The
compatible system frequency is 23.98P, 24.0P, 25.0P, 29.97P, 50.0P,
or 59.97P.
24.0P is added as a compatible system frequency of XAVC 4096 ×
2160P.
Compatible with the Chinese display
The PMW-F5/F55 is compatible with the Chinese (simplified
Chinese) display for the setup menus and most warning
messages.
Update function for the managerial file
The PMW-F5/F55 is compatible with the function that updates
the managerial file of a media that cannot be played on the
PMW-F5/F55.
Compatible with 3840 × 2160P output
The PMW-F5/F55 is compatible with 3840 × 2160P in addition to
4096 × 2160P.
The PMW-F5/F55 is compatible with the 2-sample interleave
division method for the output signal, in addition to the Square
Division method.
The Rec Review function is added
You can play and check a recorded clip easily by assigning the
Rec Review function to an assignable button.
Compatible with SD output
The output signal from SDI OUT 1 can be output from SDI OUT 2,
and the output signal from SDI OUT 3 can be output from SDI
OUT 4.
The PMW-F5/F55 is compatible with SD-SDI output for SDI OUT
3/4 (Sub), and analog composite signal output for the TEST OUT
connector.
Compatible with the B4-FZ mount adapter (LA-FZB1,
LA-FZB2)
The PMW-F5/F55 is compatible with the optional B4-FZ mount
adapter (LA-FZB1, LA-FZB2).
The sub display function is expanded
The CAMERA-2 screen is added for CAMERA screen of the sub
display, and the function buttons of FILE and AU/TC that are used
for displaying the sub display are enabled.
The FILE screen is used for "All File Load, " "Scene Recall, " and "Lens
Recall. " The AU/TC screen allows to set the setting items of audio
and timecode.
Compatible with the Waveform/Vector/Histogram
indication
You can display the Waveform/Vector/Histogram indication on
the viewfinder or SDI OUT signal by assigning the Video Signal
Monitor function to an assignable button.
Compatible with the User Box Marker function
The PMW-F5/F55 is compatible with the User Box Marker
function that allows to set the size and location of the user box .
Compatible with the Focus Assist Indicator
The PMW-F5/F55 is compatible with the indicator of the focus
status for the center area of the display.
Compatible with the User Gamma function
You can load the gamma curve that is made by CvpFileEditorTM
V4.2 from an SD card, and select it on the Paint menu.
Compatible with the RGB Gamma function
The PMW-F5/F55 is compatible with the gamma adjustment for
RGB independently when "Gamma Category" is set to "STD. "
