Compatible with the flicker reduce function
The PMW-F5/F55 is compatible with the function that can reduce
flicker that occurs when shooting under the indoor lighting, etc.

Retain the gain setting value when using the remote
control unit
The gain setting value before/after removing/attaching the
remote control unit can be retained when "RM Common
Memory" in "Camera Config" of the Maintenance menu is set to
"On, " and "Mode" in "Gain" of the Camera menu is set to "dB. "

Compatible with the SStP-SR format
The PMW-F5/F55 is compatible with SStP SR-SQ 444, SR-SQ 422,
and SR-Lite 422 format files that are adopted for HDCAM-SR,
which can be recorded on an SxS memory card. The compatible
frame rates are 23.98P, 24.0P, 25.0P, and 29.97P.
Compatible with the ×1.3 anamorphic lens
You can display a normal image without distortion on the
viewfinder screen by setting "Aspect" in "VF Setting" of the VF
menu to "Anamo ×1.3" when using the ×1.3 anamorphic lens.
You can output a normal image without distortion for the video
output by setting "4K/2K to HD Conv. " in "Output Setting" of the
Video menu to "Anamo ×1.3" or "Anamo ×2. "
"Cam ID + Reel#" naming mode for a clip name recorded on
an SxS memory card
The clip recorded on an SxS memory card can be named by the
"Cam ID + Reel#" naming method.
The "Clip Name" setting in "AXS Recorder" of the System menu
moves to "Clip Naming" of the Media menu, and the RAW clip
name is set at "Clip Name" in "Clip Naming" of the Media menu.
Focal Length displayed on the Camera status screen
The unit of Focal Length is locked to "mm. "
Compatible with the USB wireless LAN module
Attaching the supplied IFU-WLM3 USB wireless LAN module
allows the PMW-F5/F55 to connect with devices such as a
smartphone, tablet, etc., via Wi-Fi.
You can display the Wi-Fi remote commander on the device
screen by setting "Wi-Fi" in "Wi-Fi" of the System menu to "Enable, "
and access the PMW-F5/F55's IP address from the browser on the
device.

APR (Automatic Pixel Restoration)
The PMW-F5/F55 is compatible with the APR function that
corrects white spots in the image sensor. The message for
prompting the APR function appears when the PMW-F5/F55 is
turned on.
When the APR function is performed, the message disappears.
The message appears again when more than 5 days have
elapsed.
Camera Position
Camera Position can be set on the clip name when "Clip Name" in
"AXS Recorder" of the System menu is set to "Separate. "
You can select the first character of the Shot Number from
among C, L, and R.
Gain indication on the viewfinder
The Gain indication is displayed as the EI value when "Shooting
Mode" in "Base Setting" of the System menu is set to "Cine EI. "
Compatible with the ×2.0 anamorphic lens
You can display a normal image without distortion on the
viewfinder screen by setting "Aspect" in "VF Setting" of the VF
menu to "Anamo ×2" when using the ×2.0 anamorphic lens.

Assignable button
If you assign "Rec" (starts/stops recording) to an assignable
button, the assignable button lights up as well as the REC lamp
when the PMW-F5/F55 is recording.
DC OUT connector
The Rec Tally signal (OUT) is assigned to Pin No. 2, and the Rec
Trigger signal (IN) is assigned to Pin No. 3, for the DC OUT
connector of the battery adapter or AXS-R5.

Exposure Index function
The four types of "Exposure Index" can be set on the Camera
menu when "Shooting Mode" in "Base Setting" of the System
menu is set to "Cine EI, " and "Main,Sub & Internal Rec" in "Monitor
LUT" of the Video menu is set to "MLUT On. "

Video output while recording RAW signal
The aspect ratio of the video that is output from the HDMI OUT,
SDI OUT, and TEST OUT connectors is changed to 17:9 from 16:9,
when "Shooting Mode" in "Base Setting" of the System menu is set
to "Cine EI" and "Main Operation" is set to "RAW. "
VF output while recording RAW signal
The video aspect ratio for VF output is changed to 17:9 even if
"Aspect" in "VF Setting" of the VF menu is set to "Auto" or "Full, "
when "Shooting Mode" in "Base Setting" of the System menu is set
to "Cine EI" and "Main Operation" is set to "RAW. "
Video for simultaneously recording on an SxS memory
card while recording RAW signal
When "Shooting Mode" in "Base Setting" of the System menu is set
to "Cine EI, " "Main Operation" is set to "RAW, " "Setting" in "Rec
Control" of the Recording menu is set to "SxS & AXS, " and
simultaneous recording is performed, the aspect ratio of the
video changes from 16:9 to 17:9.
Clip name when recording on the AXS-R5
The SR-R4 clip name convention is used, comprising of "Camera
ID" + "Reel Number" when "Clip Name" in "AXS Recorder" of the
System menu is set to "Separate. "
The value of "Reel Number" is incremented when you change to a
new AXS memory card, if you do not change "Camera ID" and/or
"Reel Number" in "AXS Recorder" of the System menu.
Power zoom lens (SCL-Z18x140)
You can operate the power zoom lens (SCL-Z18x140) manually.
Note
You cannot get the lens information such as iris value, focus
value, zoom value, switch status, property, etc.
