Pressure relief valve PRV
The PRV is an automatic safety device installed in the pressure regulator that protects
connected consuming devices against excessive high pressure.
If there is inadmissible high pressure at the outlet side, for example due to sunlight, the PRV
opens and relieves the excess pressure through the breather.
When the pressure falls, the PRV closes again automatically.
If a PRV is installed, the pressure regulator is also marked "PRV".
DANGER
Leaking liquid gas is extremely flammable!
Can cause explosion. Severe burns with direct contact to skin.
Check connections regularly for leaks!
In case of gas smell or leakage shut-down the installation immediately!
Keep ignition sources or electric devices out of reach!
Respect applicable laws and regulations!
WARNING
Risk of asphyxiation from gas leaks in enclosed spaces.
High concentrations of gas can cause difficulty in breathing and lead to
unconsciousness.
A discharge line must be connected from the breather on the product to outdoors.
Test connector option
A leak tester can be connected to the test connector for pressure and leak tests. When you
have used it, close the connection tightly and check for leaks again. See LEAK CHECK
Insect protection
• Insert in the breather on the 8 mm vent socket or
• screw into the female thread G 1/8
NOTE
Check regularly that the sieve is not blocked. A blocked sieve can increase or lower
the outlet pressure and cause the safety overpressure shut-off valve (OPSO) to
respond. Clean or replace it as required.
