10.1 Inserting the batteries in the base station

1. Fold up the stand of the base station; below this you can find the cover of the bat-
tery compartment.
2. Open the battery compartment (I) on the back of the remote control.
3. Insert two alkaline Mignon batteries (AA) with the correct polarity. The correct
polarity can be recognised by the sign in the battery compartment.
4. Close the battery compartment again
It is necessary to replace the batteries when the "battery flat symbol"
in the display field for the indoor temperature or the device shows a weak display
contrast.

10.2 Inserting the batteries in the outdoor sensor

1. Open the battery compartment cover (L) on the underside of the outdoor sen-
sor. For this, turn the battery compartment cover with the aid of a coin to the posi-
tion "OPEN" (observe marking on the battery compartment cover).
2. Insert two alkaline Mignon batteries (AA) with the correct polarity (plus pole of bat-
tery must point in the direction of the battery compartment cover). The correct
polarity can be recognised by the sign in the battery compartment.
3. Close the battery compartment again by replacing the battery compartment cov-
er with slight pressure on the battery compartment. Make sure that the small
arrow marking on the battery compartment cover is pointing to "OPEN".
Turn the battery compartment cover in the direction "LOCK" until the cover snaps in.
It is necessary to replace the batteries when the "battery flat" symbol
the LC display of the outdoor sensor or the range of the outdoor sensor is reduced.

11. Mounting

Pay attention when mounting that no power, gas or water pipes
are damaged by mistake! This may cause fatal injury!
When mounting on the wall, use screws and dowels according to
the texture of the wall.
Do not place the base station or the outdoor sensor in the vicinity
of sources of interference such as, for example, PCs, mobile tele-
phones, radio etc. These can disturb the reception. Keep a
distance of approx. 1m to such sources of interference.

Bien que le capteur extérieur soit conçu pour un montage et un fonctionnement
extérieurs, celui-ci doit être fixé dans un lieu abrité tel que sous un débord de toit ou
abri voiture. Veiller, par ailleurs, à tenir le capteur à l´écart des sources de chaleur,
rayons directs du soleil, de la neige et pluie, ces influences faussent le résultat de la
mesure.
Un support mural (M) pour le capteur extérieur est compris dans la livraison. Fixer le
support mural au mur à l´aide de deux vis. Placer le capteur extérieur dans le support
mural. Lors du montage, veiller à monter le support mural de façon à ce qu´il ne

12. Mise en service

12.1 Association du capteur extérieur à la station de base
Le capteur extérieur peut être associé de deux manières à la station de base : - soit
automatiquement après remplacement des piles, soit manuellement (par pression
de touches).
L´état correspondant de la réception du capteur extérieur s´affiche par trois sym-
boles sur l´écran de la station de base destiné à la température extérieure.
Respecter impérativement l´ordre indiqué dans les chapitres ci-
dessous ; le cas échéant, la station de base ne sera pas en mesu-
re de synchroniser correctement le capteur extérieur.
L´appareil indique les valeurs de températures en °F (réglage
d´usine) ou en °C. Vous pouvez choisir entre les deux affichages.

températures °C ou °F ».
