11. PROCEDURE IN CASE OF FAULT WITH LOAD
SUSPENDED
- If possible remove the load from the nearest level, then
dismantle the hoist and service it.
- If this is not possible, use another lifting machine (with
adequate load bearing capacity) from higher up and suspend
the faulty hoist both at the load and at the hoist attachment
point.
Lift the faulty hoist slowly off its fitting, then lower the entire
load to the ground.
- DO NOT adjust the motor brake with the load suspended as it
would be uncontrollable.
- DO NOT try to service the machine with the load suspended.
12. SCRAPPING THE HOIST
To scrap the machine at the end of its service life, carry out the
following steps:
a) Separate the plastic and electrical components (cables,
pendant control, etc.).
b) Divide up the metal components according to the type of
metal (steel, aluminium, etc.).
After the various components have been separated, dispose
of them through authorised disposal centres.
Dispose of properly. These components can cause
accidents and pollution.
13. UPRIGHT ATTACHMENT ASSEMBLY - 0.8m, 1.5m
Check that upright can resist stresses shown in fig. 7 and 8.
Mount clamps to upright and fully tighten all four screws. Check
that clamps are vertical and aligned to pipe.
13.1 UPRIGHT ATTACHMENT ASSEMBLY
Screw tie-rod to boom support with M10x30 screws, tighten
with self-locking nut: the tie-rod should be able to swivel on the
support. Insert tie-rod bush in upper clamp, and boom bush in
lower clamp, then insert the cotters in the clamp holes.
Check that support is free to swivel on clamp pins.
Place hoist attachment on end of boom, fix with metal rod and
close shackle.
Check (with spirit level) that boom is horizontal with various
different loads.

14. NOISE LEVEL AT THE OPERATOR S EAR
The level Lp(A) given in the TECHNICAL DATA chart
corresponds to the weighted equivalent sound pressure level
on scale A of European Directive 98/37. This level is measured
with no load, at the operator s head in the working position 1.5
metres away from the instrument, considering the different
working conditions.

When operating the hoist, the operator must block
handle to prevent movement of support on wheels.
Remove load and hoist from attachment before
dismantling.
