Symptom
Some characters are not displayed in a
PowerPoint, Excel or Word file.
Some features of a PowerPoint, Excel or
Word file are not properly displayed or
such effects are not displayed at all.
A slide show cannot be run. The
message "Projector's storage is full.
Delete the file stored in the projector."
appears.
A slide show cannot be run. The
message "File size is too large. Decrease
file size in any way; for example, by
dividing it into smaller files, then try to
restart the slide show." appears.
Internet browser
Symptom
Internet Browser for the projector cannot
be started.
You cannot get access to the home
pages with the Internet browser of the
projector, or some of them are not
displayed.

Symptom
The Auto Projector Search or Remote
Desktop function does not work.
The projector screen freezes.
The message "Password is set for the
file. Enter password." appears.
The message "You might have entered
the wrong password. Enter it again."
appears.

Causes and remedies
You cannot display characters that the Slide Viewer, Worksheet Viewer or
Document Viewer does not support.
t Use the file created in English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Chinese,
Portuguese or Korean which are supported.
The file is using the features that are not supported by the Slide Viewer,
Worksheet Viewer or Document Viewer of the projector, or the file is created with
PowerPoint 2002, Excel 2002 or Word 2002.
t The features will be replaced with those that are supported. Apply effects
that are supported if nothing is displayed.
The memory of the projector is full.
t Delete unnecessary files stored in the projector using File Manager to
increase memory capacity.
File size exceeds the capacity for transition to the projector.
t Check empty memory capacity in the File Manager window, then decrease
the file's capacity by dividing it into smaller files.
t Click Option then Save from the Tool menu on the PowerPoint, then
remove the check from Save Fast.
Causes and remedies
The projector is not connected to the LAN.
t Check the setups for the On-board LAN and wireless LAN environment.

Plug-in software such as Media Player and Real Player is required, or a home
page you are accessing is created in Java format.
t As the Internet browser of the projector is not compatible with plug-in
software, it cannot display home pages that use Media Player or Real
Player. The browser of the projector is not compatible with Java format.
Causes and remedies
• The necessary setting is not done on the connected computer.
t Perform the necessary setting for the corresponding function on the
computer (page 27 (GB) or page 28 (GB)).
The software of the projector is frozen.
t Once you set INPUT-B FUNC. (VPL-PX15) or INPUT-C FUNC. (VPL-FX51)
in the INSTALL SETTING menu to OFF, then reset it to ON.
The password is set for the projector or the file.
t Enter the password. When the IP address is not changed from the factory-
preset one, enter "root" in the Name text box for Administrator.
The password you entered is not correct.
t Enter the correct password.
