WINTER SHUTDOWN
In areas where winter temperatures frequently drop below 0° C,
during the period when the spa is not in use it is advisable to com-
pletely drain the system (spa, compensation tanks, pipes, filter).
In areas where temperatures only occasionally drop below 0
°C, the spa can be left in operation, since it is equipped with an
anti-freeze protection that ensures that a minimum water tem-
perature is maintained (see the chapter "Setting water tem-
perature", which contains paragraphs on maintaining the min-
imum water temperature and preventing freezing of water in the
pipes - "Smart Winter" mode).

OTHER TREATMENTS
FOR WATER MAINTENANCE

Anti-algae treatment

To be carried out at the beginning of each season (and period-
ically) using a specific product; it is advisable to contact a serv-
ice centre or a specialized dealer for the relative amounts and
methods of use.

Flocculation treatment

This treatment is necessary to eliminate any microscopic parti-
cles that could make the water cloudy; a treatment that is, how-
ever, not recommended for spas, as the substances used may
clog the filter and reduce its efficiency.
Foam formation
Products are available to reduce the formation of foam in the wa-
ter, normally caused by soap, suntan oils and other substances.
The interaction of these substances with hot water, in particu-
lar with a high pH level, causes the formation of foam.
Oily film or cloudy water
These situations are often due to insufficient water filtering, but
are also caused by sunscreen oils, lotions and cosmetics. It is
possible to add flocculants to cause the contaminants to coag-
ulate into globules which are sufficiently large to be handled by
the filtering system. These globules may however clog the filters.
The addition of flocculants therefore makes the water clearer,
but may require the filter to be cleaned/changed more frequently.
For the purchase of water treatment products, contact
authorized dealers and service centres

MAINTENANCE

I
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
Keep the spa covered at all times when not in use. In this way,
along with keeping the water from getting dirty, you will also avoid
heat loss and evaporation.
ATTENTION
The cover is not designed to support weights. Do
not stand, sit or lie on the cover, and do not set ob-
jects on it.
The surface of the spa is brilliant, smooth, resistant and long-
lasting. With proper maintenance, care and cleaning, its char-
acteristics will remain unchanged over time. To clean the tub
and intakes, use a soft cloth and liquid neutral detergents which
must be non-abrasive and/or ammonia-free.
The most stubborn stains can be removed using thinners
compatible with the staining product (acetone or suitable thin-
ners). In these cases great care must be taken, drying the thin-
ner with a soft cloth immediately after removing the stain to
prevent it attacking the surface of the tub.
To restore the original brilliance of the spa, use car polish. Any
traces of nicotine left by cigarettes can also be eliminated with
cotton wool and polish.
To clean the suction nozzles, remove the cover and its o-
ring, thoroughly clean the parts and remove any residue.
NOTES
Jacuzzi
®
- the intakes must be cleaned with the tub empty. Remember
to refit all the parts before re-filling the spa.
-the suction intake grilles must be checked at least once a
week.
For long periods of disuse, it is advisable to completely drain
the system (refer to the chapter on emptying the tub and win-
ter shutdown). Periodic drainage, during normal use, vary de-
pending on the frequency of use, the contaminants and the type
of installation.
Even if not used particularly frequently, you should change the
water at least once a month.
