Press the TEST button of the residual current operated cir-
cuit breaker located upstream from the electrical system to
which the spa is connected. If it does not trip, it may be faulty
or it may have tripped due to problems in the electrical sys-
tem of
the building.
Disconnect the spa and do not use it until you have i-
dentified and eliminated the defect.
Check the operation of the hydromassage pumps using the
"Pump" key. The first time the key is pressed the pump
starts at low speed; the second time it is pressed, high speed;
the third time, the pump turns off.
Check that the spotlights switch on and off using the "Light"
key.
Check that there are no leaks from the hydraulic connec-
tions or other problems.
Completely disinfect the MaxiJacuzzi by carrying out "su-
per-chlorination" treatment.
Please refer to the Jacuzzi system water treatment
guide and relative catalogue for details on water qual-
ity maintenance, the methods and warnings governing
the use of relative chemical products.
After a few hours, turn off the all pole circuit breaker (mains
disconnect switch, see the pre-installation sheet).
Open the drain valve and completely empty the bath.
CAUTION
Do not use the spa the first time you start it as
there is a high concentration of chlorine in the
water during this phase.
Immediately empty the bath.
Close the drain valve and re-fill the spa with fresh water
up to the level mark on the skimmer.
Turn the all-pole circuit breaker back on and check the
operation of the spa (see the chapter "Control panel - Func-
tions").
Check and as necessary modify the water filtering cycles
based on how you intend to use the spa.
Set the water heating temperature. Keep in mind that the time
required to reach the desired value depends on the initial wa-
ter temperature and the amount of water in the spa.
As a rule of thumb, an electric heater of approximately 2 kW
increases the temperature of 1 m
°C per hour (with the thermal cover on the spa and without
considering system heat losses).

WINTER INACTIVITY
It is a good rule to empty the MaxiJacuzzi regularly (about
every 4- weeks), in order to ensure a change of water and

proceed with tub cleaning.
If you are away for any length of time, it is advisable to emp-
ty the spa, as long periods without carrying out water treat-
ment can damage the spa.
CAUTION
Before emptying, make sure that the chemi-
cal additive values in the water are within the
permitted limits.
If in doubt, contact the local authorities.
DO NOT EMPTY THE WATER INTO A SEPTIC
TANK.
In areas where winter temperatures frequently drop
below 0°C, during periods in which the spa is not used,
proceed as follows:
Disconnect the electricity from the main control panel.

IMPORTANT
In cold climates, where temperatures drop well
below 0°C, all residual water should be elimi-
nated from the circuit.
Remove and clean the filter cartridge(s) and store in a dry
place.
Cover the spa to keep it clean.

In areas where temperatures only occasionally drop below 0
°C, the spa can be left in operation, since it is equipped with an
anti-freeze protection that ensures that a minimum water tem-
perature is maintained (see the chapter "Setting the water tem-
perature" which contains the paragraphs "Maintaining a min-
imum temperature of the water" and "Preventing freezing of wa-
ter in the pipes - "Smart Winter" mode).
