Maintenance

Once you have found the right positi on, fi rst ti ghten the brake levers ensuring that
they can sti ll be twisted. Tighten the upper T25 screw so that the upper gap between
the two halves is closed. In the next step, set the angle of the brake levers.

5.2.2. Brake lever angle

Adjust the angle of the brake levers so that your
fi ngers rest on the brake levers as you extend your
arms when sitti ng on the vehicle. Your wrist should
be as stretched as possible.
Then reti ghten the handlebar clamp screws of the
brake levers to a maximum of 4 Nm.
5.2.3. Adjusti ng the brake lever distance
The brake lever distance should be adjusted so
that the brake lever can be operated with the fi rst
phalanx of the 2 fi ngers in questi on. The lever
width can be adjusted with a Torx 25 key. Adjust
the screw at the marked positi on.

Maintenance
In order for the vehicle to remain functi onal and safe, it must be regularly maintained.
Please note the following informati on before every maintenance measure.
Maintenance requires technical skills. You are responsible for the maintenance
work being carried out correctly.
-> If you do not feel confi dent doing the work, contact HNF-NICOLAI Ser-
vice or have a specialist retailer carry out maintenance on the bike.
Risk of injury when carrying out maintenance
work on a drive system that is switched
on! Your hands may get stuck, for example
between the belt and the pulley, when the
drive starts up.
-> Remove the batt ery before carrying out
any maintenance work. This ensures the
rest positi on of the drive system.
