To extend the bed in the head end, the following must be done:
1.
The side rail, a.o.b. the lifting pole are removed (see section 5).
2.
Remove the two screws located approx. 20 cm from the bed section by using the
hexagonal key.
3.
Pull out the bed section brackets 5 or 10 cm, and install/tighten both screws.
4.
Loosen both screws that holds the mattress support extension, pull out the extension
to the desired position, and tighten both screws.
5.
Replace the mattress or put in the mattress extension.
6.
Install the side rail(s) and the lifting pole.
The screws for the mattress support extention must always be tightened
- if not, there is risk of the lifting pole falling over, or that the patient can fall
out of the bed.
Warning! In order to avoid entrapment / suffocation, it is essential to
avoid extending the bed ends without extentioning the mattress support
accordingly.
In order to avoid entrapment of fingers, there should be a distance of over
2,5 cm between bed end and outside of the mattress retainer
ACP Box (optional)
The hand control can be locked by activating the switch on the ACP box located in the head
end of the bed.
To check if the locking function has been activated, depress the buttons on the hand control.
