7. Calibrating high-pressure
rail

The pressure senor 1 681 032 095 and the high-pres-
sure pump 1 687 222 188 are required for calibration
of the high-pressure rail.

Replace the filter prior to calibration of the high-pres-
sure rail (refer to Section 6.9).
7.1 Clamping high-pressure pump
i
The following additional clamping elements are
required for adapting the high-pressure pump
to the flywheel of the EPS: Intermediate flange
1 685 700 140, drive coupling 1 686 401 024, guard
1 685 510 148, guard ring 1 685 510 176.

1. Attach the intermediate flange 1 685 700 140
(Pos. 4) and the drive coupling 1 686 401 024
(Pos. 3) to the flywheel of the EPS.
2. Slide the guard 1 685 510 148 (Pos. 6) onto the
clamping bracket and secure it in position on the
EPS clamping bracket by way of the clamping screw.
3. Slide home the guard ring 1 685 510 176 (Pos. 5)
on the guard (Pos. 6).
4. Position the high-pressure pump (Pos. 1) on the
clamping bracket and attach to the drive coupling
(Pos. 3).
5. Attach the high-pressure pump to the clamping
bracket by way of the two clamping screws (Pos. 2).

6. Slide the guard ring (Pos. 5) over the drive coupling
and secure.
