Use the 710D4 torque wrench to tighten the set screws.
• For trial fittings, tighten the adapter set screws clockwise with a torque
of 10 Nm.
5.4 Final assembly
CAUTION
Risk of falls due to changes in the prosthesis geometry
The adapter may turn while the prosthesis is in use if there is any con-
tamination on the contact surfaces.
Prior to final assembly (i.e. prior to inserting the tube adapter into the tube
clamp adapter), the inside of the tube clamp adapter and the outside
part of the tube adapter which slides into the tube clamp adapter must
be cleaned with 634A3 Acetone!
CAUTION
Risk of falling due to loosening of the set screws while the prosthe-
sis is in use
The applied strains can cause the set screws to come loose.
• Secure the set screws with 636K13 Loctite® and observe the pre-
scribed tightening torques.
1) Use 636K13 Loctite® to install the set screws.
2) Pre-tighten the set screws in the clockwise direction using the 710D4
torque wrench.
Tightening torque: 10 Nm.
3) During final assembly, tighten the set screws in the clockwise direction
using the 710D4 torque wrench.
Tightening torque 15 Nm (see Fig. 1 )
Set screws which seem too long or too short for the adjusted position
should be replaced by suitable corresponding ones from the 4D27 single-
component pack.
Use the 710D4 torque wrench to tighten the cylinder head screw!
Use the 710D4 torque wrench to tighten the cylinder head screw, both for
trial fitting and for final assembly.
