Commands

All commands must be sent as a string of ASCII letters
and digits. Capital and small letters are accepted. Each
command is executed after reception of 0Dhex (= ENTER
button).

Identification query
Software version query. Reply i.e.: version 1.01
Query for instrument settings. Function: WATT, VAR, cos ϕ
Voltage range: U1 = 50 V, U2 = 150 V, U3 = 500 V
Current range: I1 = 0.16 A, I2 = 1.6 A, I3 = 16A
Query for instrument settings and measured values. Example for Var
active: U3=225.6E+0 (225.6 V measured in 500 V range)
I2=0.243E+0 (0.243 A measured in 1.6 A range) VAR=-23.3E+0 (reactive
power of 23.3 W with capacitive load). Range overflow is marked by "OF"
(overflow). If a command is received by the POWER METER within a
measuring cycle, the reply is sent after the measuring cycle is finished.
Query for instrument settings and measuring values of the active
function.
Example for cos ϕ active: U3, I2, cos=0.87E+0.
Continuous transmission of instrument settings and measuring values.
Example for cos j active: U3, I2, cos=0.87E+0. Range overflow is marked
by "OF" (overflow). Each measuring result is transmitted to the PC until
the POWER METER receives the command MA0.
Ends the continuous data transmission started by MA1.
Function selection: active power
Function selection: reactive power
Function selection: cos j
Selects one of the following voltage measuring ranges (VOLT) and
switches the VOLT AUTORANGE function off: x = 1 (50 V range),
2 (150 V range) or 3 (500 V range)
Selects one of the following current measuring ranges (AMPERE) and
switches the AMPERE AUTORANGE function off: x = 1 (0.16 A range),
2 (1.6 A range) or 3 (16 A range)
Activates the AUTORANGE function for voltage measurement (VOLT).
Activates the AUTORANGE function for current measurement (AMPERE).
Generates an acoustic signal.
Deactivates the acoustic signal.
Permits the acoustic signal.
Locks all VOLT, AMPERE and FUNCTION controls.
Unlocks all VOLT, AMPERE and FUNCTION controls.
