3.15.1 Basic adjustment of the wire ropes
1. Raise the runway with a load (medium-sized vehicle)
to a height of roughly 1 meter.

Do not press the setting-down button. The running
rail may only be borne by the wire ropes.
2. Position a spirit level on the runway.
3. Adjust the wire ropes so that the running rail is
horizontal both lengthwise and transversely.
3.15.2 Levelling runways

A levelling device is required for precise checking of
the alignment.
1. Raise the runway with a load (medium-sized vehicle)
to a height of roughly 1 meter.
2. Press the runway setting-down button and lower the
lifting platform into the detent position.
3. Set the locking bars such that the runway is
horizontal in longitudinal and transverse direction.
3.15.3 Precise adjustment of the wire ropes
1. Briefly press the "Lift" (o) button to raise the
runway slightly.
2. Check whether all four corners of the runway are
raised simultaneously.
3. If necessary: Secure the wire rope nuts with
locknuts.

3.15.4 Concluding operations
1. Bunch all cables and hoses under the runways using
cable ties.
2. Slightly lubricate the suspension cables and pulleys
(e.g. with chain grease or grease spray).
3. Make sure all bolted joints are appropriately
tightened and secured.
4. Check the fluid level again.
3.15.5 Lifting platform trial run

Perform a lifting platform trial run at rated load.

4. Final inspection and
instruction
1. Have proper operation and safety of the VLH 4x45
checked by a qualified person in the specified
manner (e.g. BGG 945 in Germany).
2. Instruct the user with regard to operation and the
safety devices.
3. Keep a record of commissioning in the test log
book in the specified manner (e.g. BGG 945-1 in
Germany).
