8. Put the cleaning brush in its place again and close the cover: fi rst push in the catch and
the press down the cover until it audibly engages under the unlocking button. Make sure
the cover is sitting properly on the appliance before starting up the appliance again.

Cleaning the roller brush

With time, hair, threads, or other contaminations can collect on the roller brush. To remove
these, remove the roller brush from the appliance.
1. Before that, take the cleaning brush located under the cover next to the dust container
compartment and close the cover again.
2. Turn over the appliance and lay it upside down on the fl oor or table.
5. To reinsert the roller brush, fi rst place one end into the right mount in the compart-
ment. In the process, the slot at the end of the brush and the stud in the mount must
mesh.
6. Press the roller brush to the right until the limit stop and then downward until it audibly
engages in the mount.
7. Check the roller brush for the proper seat.

Cleaning the housing

• Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the appliance. These could
damage the surface. As required, just wipe down the appliance with a moist cloth.

Changing the battery of the remote control

When the appliance no longer reacts to the remote control, the battery in the remote con-
trol must be exchanged. You need a 3V lithium button cell (CR 2032).
1. The battery compartment is on the bottom of the remote control.
2. Carefully pull the battery compartment out of the remote control and remove the used
battery.
3. Insert the new battery with the positive (+) pole facing upwards.
4. Push the battery compartment back into the remote control to the limit stop.

3. Take the roller brush on the left side between your fi ngers
and press it to the right to the limit stop and then up until
it disengages from the catch. You can now pull it out of the
appliance entirely.
4. Clean the contamination off the brush and clean the com-
partment of the roller brush with the cleaning brush or a
cloth.
