3.1.3 Fitting the hoisting slings

expose lifting hooks, lugs or shackles to cantilever loads.
Their load axis must lie in the direction of the tractive forces.
When lifting consider that the load limit of a cable is reduced
for angled pulling.
The safety and efficiency of a cable are best guaranteed if,
wherever possible, all load-bearing elements are stressed
vertically. If necessary a lifting arm should be used to which
the carrying cable can be attached vertically.
stand beneath a raised load!
A safety zone must be marked out such that there is no
danger if the load or part thereof slips ir the hoist breaks or
tears.
leave a load in a raised position for longer than necessary!
Accelerating and braking during the lifting process must be
performed such that there is no danger to persons.
The hoists used must have a load-bearing capacity which
corresponds to the weight of the pump set. The weight is indicated on
the type plate.
To avoid any distortion, please lift the pump set as shown. Not by the
ring lugs or on the free shaft end of the drive machine!
