8.2 Attaching the blender jug to the motor unit

Warning!
If the rotary switch (9) is set at one of the various power levels between MINM and MAX, the
blender will power on as soon as you place the blender jug (4) on the motor unit (8) and
close the lid (2).
1. If the mains plug is connected to the mains socket, remove it from the mains socket.
2. Check that the blender's rotary switch (9) is in the OFF
position.
3. Place the blender jug (4) on the motor unit (8) and lock it
into position. To do this, first twist the blender jug (4) such
that the handle (5) of the blender jug (4) is on the right
hand side. Now lower the blender jug (4) onto the motor
unit (8) and twist it clockwise until it slots into place. This
activates the safety switch (7) so that you can then switch on
the table-top blender.
4. Connect the power cable (15) plug to a live mains socket.
Warning!
Make sure the power cable (15) is not in your working area. Otherwise you could pull it
inadvertently and knock the blender over.

8.3 Control panel

Use the control panel to switch the table-top blender on or off and select a speed.
Rotary switch (9)
You can adjust the speed of the cutting blades (6) steplessly. The speed
range is marked from MIN to MAX as a guide.
In the OFF position, the table-top blender is switched off.
In the ON position, the table-top blender is switched on but the cutting
