Description
2.1
Theory of Operation
The controlling unit controls the drive of the rotor pump in such a way that a precise dosage is
carried out upon a simple digital start signal.
For different dosing applications it is possible to store up to 3 programs in the RC15 controller,
and these can be accessed via separate digital signals of a higher ranking controller.
The RC15 controller provides the higher level control of digital signals for the dosage status as
well as for the level of the reservoir.
For manual workstations without higher level control, the dosing system is started by a foot
switch and the status can be read easily from the display due to easily understandable icons.
Different parameters of the dosage can be adjusted via the graphical user interface of the RC15
controller depending on the operating mode :
– dispensing rate,
– dispensing quantity or
– dispensing time.
The RC15 controller offers three different operating modes that can be selected in the menu
"Advanced Settings".
In all three operating modes, the desired dispensing rate, the suck-back volume and the flow
rate for the suck-back can be preset.
Three respectively different dosing rates and suck-back parameter sets can be set and retrieved
via the three programs.
The software version 0.18 an adjustable ramp function is available for the dosage.
With this function, the start ramp and the stop ramp kannn be adjusted as the application
requires.

Dispensing Modes
Operating Mode "Quantity"
The required dosing quantity is preset here primarily and dosed at the start of the program.
The displayed dosing time (in gray) is only for information purposes.
Three different dispensing quantities can be set and retrieved via the three programs.
Operating Mode "Time" (internal time control)
The dosing time is preset here. The dosage runs accordingly.
The displayed dosing quantity (in gray) is only for information purposes.
Three different dosing times can be set and retrieved via the three programs.
Operating Mode "Start/Stop" (external time control)
The duration of the dosage is determined by the length of the external start signal.
The displayed dosing quantity and time (both in gray) are only for information purposes.
Three different dosing rates can be set and retrieved via the three programs.
This mode is particularly recommended for the connection to a dosing robot.
