rectly exposed. lf the symbol disappears for a few seconds after
triggering the lighting was insufficient. The picture should then
be taken again with a larger aperture opening. After a flash was
fired, flash readiness is reobtained when the green flash symbol
glows continuously.
3. Manual operation (M, W or MD): lf manual flash operation is
desired using the camera in the Winder or Motor Drive mode,
connect the flash unit to the camera by means of its normal
sync cable. The shutter speed setting ring is then set to "X". For
further instructions see the flashgun's handbook, Section "Ma-
n u a l m o d e " .
11. Pentax
Do not turn the flashgun on before having it connected to the
camera.
Camera models: Pentax LX, Pentax Super A
Adapter required: Special Adapter C 80
The special adapter C 80 allows dedicated operation of the Me-
cablitz 45 CT 5 and 60 CT 2 with the cameras Pentax LX and
Pentax Super A only.
It does not provide interface with other Pentax camera models.
For the latter, the normal sync cable must be used.
Pentax LX
1. Gonnecting the adapter
Insert the adapter into the flash unit's sync socket. For connec-
tion to the camera, use the corresponding original Pentax sync
cord.

2. Automatic operation with TTL flash metering control
TTL flash metering control means that the amount of flashlight
fired is controlled by a sensor built into the camera.
Settings on camera: Set the film speed. Bring the shutter
speed button into "Auto" position and select the desired f-num-
ber. When doing so, consult the table for the auto flash ranges
accompanying the adapter !
