Canon AE-1
Automatic mode: Set the lens aperture ring to "A" (automatic
mode). On reaching flash readiness the shutter is a'r.rtomatically
set to the flash synchronization shutter speed (1/60 s) and the
working aperture of the lens is set to the selected aperture
number on the flash unit. This is recognizable in the display pa-
nel in the viewfinder by the deflection of the needlg to the 6per-
ture which has been selected on the flash unit. This deflection
also acts as a flash ready indicator in the camera.
Manual flash mode: Please see Section "Manual mode,'with re-
gard to the handling and setting of the flash unit.
The symbol "M" in the viewfinder flashes to indicate manual
aperture setting. Upon reaching flash readiness the shutter ist
automatically set to the flash synchronization shutter speed
(1/60 s) and the needle in the viewfinder jumps to the upper ex-
treme of the display zone.
Canon AL-l
The camera can be adjusted to "A" and all other speeds with
exception of "8".
After switching the flash unit on and flash readiness is reached
the shutter is automatically set to the flash synchronization
shutter speed (1/60 s). This is signalled by an appropriate de-
flection of the needle in the display panel of the viewfinder. Si-
multaneously this needle deflection serves to indicate flash rea-
diness for the camera.

Ganon AT-1
Automatic mode: After switching the flash unit on and flash
readiness is reached the camera shutter is automatically set to
the flash synchronization shutter speed (1/60 s).

Manual: After switching the flash unit on and flash readiness is
reached the camera shutter is automatically set to the flash
synchronization shutter speed (1/60 s).
