Ganon AE-1 Program

Automatic mode: Set lens to "A".
Set operating mode selector to the desired auto-working aper-
ture. After switching the flash unit on and flash readiness is rea-
ched the mark "P" which is visible at the upper right of the
viewfinder, goes out and is replaced by illumination of the green
flash symbol at the bottom. Simultaneously the shutter is set to
the flash synchronization shutter speed of 1/60 s.
The auto-working aperture set on the flash unit is automatically
transferred to the camera and is displayed in the viewfinder.
Manual flash mode: 1/60 s is automatically set once flash rea-
diness is reached. Set camera aperture manually to the desired
value. Flash unit setting is according to Section "Manual mode"
of the instruction manual.

Only slip flash unit into the camera accessory shoe in the swit-
ched-off condition.

Once flash readiness on the flash unit is reached the camera
automatically switches from the daylight mode to the flash mo-

1/60 s and the green flash symbol at the top illuminates.
The flash symbol functions as a confirmation of correct exposu-
re. Should it continue winking or remain illuminated after flash
triggering then the exposure was correct.
Should it extinguish for a few seconds after flash triggering
then the exposure was not enough and the exposure must be
repeated with a smaller lens aperture number.
