7. Debonding the brackets
Allow for the excellent bond properties of equilibrium
debonding:
equilibrium ® brackets can be debonded with Weingart pliers, e.g. REF
003-120-00. Grip the brackets at the mesial and distal and loosen the
base of the equilibrium
pliers and bending the bracket. Then, if necessary, remove the bracket
from the tooth without pulling by twisting the bracket briefly to the
right or left.

• Store equilibrium
• No special precautions have to be taken when disposing of equilibrium
brackets after treatment.
