11.MAINTENANCE/RECALIBRATION

11.1 Information on maintenance and recalibration

Cause/Remedy
Oscillations have been induced in the scale, pre-
venting determination of the zero point.
- Do not touch the trolley or table supporting
the scale.
- Restart scale.
Data transmission not possible, wireless module is
disabled.
- Activate wireless module ("Activating the wire-
less module (SYS)" on page 71).
Data transmission is not possible, no wireless
group set up.
- Set up wireless group ("Setting up a wireless
group (Lrn)" on page 71).
We recommend having your device serviced prior to
recalibration.
ATTENTION!
Incorrect measurements as a result of poor
servicing
– Have servicing and repairs carried out
exclusively by seca service or by an
authorized service partner.
– You can find service partners in your area at
www.seca.com or by sending an e-mail to
service@seca.com.
Have an authorized technician perform recalibration
according to national legal regulations. The year of first
calibration can be found after the CE symbol on the rat-
ing plate above the number of the notified body 0109
(Hessische Eichdirektion [Hessen Weights & Measures
Office]).
Recalibration is necessary whenever one or more cali-
bration seals are damaged or the contents of the cali-
bration counter no longer match the number on the
applicable calibration counter sticker. If calibration
seals are damaged, contact seca service directly.
