6. Commissioning, operation
When a too high pressure is applied, Overflow is shown on the display. An intermittent
audio alarm sounds and the display only shows lines, rather than a measured value.
As soon as these signals occur, the pressure must be reduced immediately to prevent
■
damage or possible physical injury.
The aforementioned signals occur when the pressure exceeds 110 % of the nominal
■
range of the reference pressure sensor.
If the measured value of the CPH7650, with a connected overpressure sensor and a
■
vented test assembly, is not equal to zero, then a zero point or offset correction can be
carried out, see chapter 6.8.1 "Zero point setting or offset correction".
6.8.1 Zero point setting or offset correction
Zero point setting for overpressure sensors
If the measured value shown on the CPH7650, with an overpressure sensor connected
and the test assembly vented to atmosphere, is not equal to zero, then by pressing the
[CLEAR] button twice (within five seconds), the zero point can be corrected (maximum
allowable correction value is twice the magnitude of the class accuracy).
Offset correction for absolute pressure sensors
For absolute pressure sensors, an offset correction can be made via the menu (see
chapter 6.7.3 "SETUP additional menu items: Reference sensor").
6.8.2 Media compatibility
CAUTION!
Incorrect or contaminated pressure medium!
Incorrect or contaminated pressure medium can damage the integrated
pump.
▶
The calibrator should only be used with clean, dry air! To prevent
contamination by the test items, the use of a dirt trap is recommended
(see chapter 11 "Accessories")!
6.9 Operation of the integrated pump
The control buttons and valves of the electric pump unit are located underneath the
connection for the reference pressure sensor.
